Why trash wedding dress?
This kind if photo session takes place several days (or months) after the wedding. During this photo session a bride (now wife) poses by herself or with her husband. At this point she is not afraid to trash her wedding dress. Often bride trashes her wedding dress while being shot.
Bride can sit on the ground, lay in sand or grass, sit on decorated stairs, jump in the water, drop paint on herself, etc. A lot of couples come to Dominican Republic specifically to do this kind of photo shoot in the ocean.
This kind of photo sessions are always very vivid, sensual, and full of emotions because now anything is allowed. One can climb on top of the mountain, sail away to the middle of a lake, or kiss each other under a waterfall. Nothing is off limits. Newlyweds are now fully relaxed, hence more open. They can take it nice and slow and they don’t have to worry about their clothes and hair becoming messed up.
Very often I come across spontaneous Trash The Dress. This happens when newlyweds got careless and got too deep into the ocean, their wedding attire got wet, but they still started playing in water realizing that everything will be dry again in fifteen minutes due to warm and tender Caribbean sun.
Or they suddenly decided that it will be excellent to finish up the photo session in the water. We then just planned and discussed it briefly and went on with the session.
Spontaneous Trash The Dress session is neither long or intensive as newlyweds go only knee deep because they still need to be dry and ready for the reception.
