Wedding in Castle Ruisbroek Brussels

ELEGANCE.
A French–Belarusian wedding set in the magnificent  Castle of Ruisbroek, just minutes from Brussels in the province of Flemish Brabant.

Tucked just south of Brussels, Château (Castle) de Ruisbroek—also known as Kasteel “De Helle”—is an elegant 18th-century Baroque estate, originally built around 1725–1732 as the seat of the Lordship of Ruisbroek.

Today, it’s a refined wedding venue where history meets atmosphere: grand salons, intimate lounges, and a luminous glass orangery that hosts ceremonies and receptions in soft natural light. Surrounded by Italian-style gardens, water features, and a secluded park, the château offers a true fairytale setting—just 10 minutes from the city, yet completely removed from it.

I was invited to photograph the second part of the day, so the ceremony itself is not included in this gallery. The bride wore a breathtaking mermaid-style gown that beautifully highlights her graceful silhouette.

With guests arriving from across Europe — many reuniting for the first time in years — the focus naturally turned to spontaneous moments and group portraits filled with genuine emotion.

As the sun set over the castle gardens, I gently persuaded the couple to step away from dinner for a few magical minutes. Those portraits became the heart of their refined wedding album, including a series of diptychs inspired by the atmosphere of the day, the beauty of the setting, and the elegance of the newlyweds.

I loved these diptychs so much that they later became part of my website.
