A refined photo reportage capturing the atmosphere of the Belgian inter-school sommelier competition Bordeaux & Bordeaux Supérieur (2019–2020). Moments of focus, passion, stress and rising talent unfold in Brussels, where young sommeliers showcase their skill and dedication to the art of wine.
This is the kind of event that requires a photographer who disappears into the background. No disruption, no moment interrupted. Quiet observation and the instinct to be in the right place at the right moment — capturing atmosphere, focus, and the individual stories unfolding in the room.
For the official group portrait, I brought my mobile studio lighting — a complete portable setup that travels to any venue and creates beautifully lit group photographs regardless of room size or available light. Clean, sharp, professional results every time.
The images from this reportage work as press material, institutional archive, and as a record of an evening that mattered to everyone in it.
